For this project, we learned about the gradient mesh tool. We started by using the eyedropper tool to get the main colors of the pepper. After that, I used the pen tool to trace all of the different sections of the pepper. Each section got its own layer. I then copy and pasted this down underneath just in case I needed these shapes again. I then picked the most common color in each section and made that section filled with that color. I took off the stroke as well. I then took the mesh tool and started to add the lights and darks on each section. I did this section by section until I liked the way the mesh looked and I thought the pepper looked 3D. When I had finished the sections, I imported the image of the stem that was already done for me and placed it where it needed to go. I was not very happy with the overall outcome of my pepper, and I wish I had started over and tried it again.
